[Michinoku Pro] Tickets Still Available for 10/19/19 Shin-Kiba 1st Ring (Tokyo) Show!

Michinoku Pro presents 2019 Tokyo Conference Vol. 6 on October 19 at Shin-Kiba First Ring in Tokyo (7:00 PM start time). Michinoku Pro is an Iwate-based promotion that has existed since 1993, and primarily has events in the Tōhoku region. However, they also occasionally have events in Tokyo, and when they do, they also present the Kantō region with a roster of talent that consists of names that fans in that region know, as well as ones they SHOULD know.

This event will be highlighted by a Tohoku & UWA World Tag Team Title defense by Ikuto Hidaka and Minoru Fujita. The Tohoku & UWA World Tag Team Title are two of the most legitimate Tag Team titles in the industry.

The UWA World Tag Team Title's roots began in 1982 in Mexico's Universal Wrestling Association, where it was held by Mexican talents such as Los Villanos, Los Brazos, Perro Aguayo, Los Cowboys, as well as the American/Canadian team The Can-Am Connection. The first holders of the title were the Japanese team of Riki Choshu and Gran Hamada. The title eventually permanently made its way to Japan after the company closed, via El Dorado Wrestling in 2008 with the new champions being Mazada and Nosawa. The team of Kagetora and Kota Ibushi held the title there as well.

Since then the title has been defended in many Japanese promotions, being held by talents such as Speed Of Sounds, Isami Kodaka, the team of Masato Shibata & Shuji Ishikawa, The Brahman Brothers, and the current champions, Ikuto Hidaka and Minoru Fujita. This is their second reign, and it was during Hidaka & Fujita first reign that they unified the UWA World Tag Team Title with Michinoku Pro's Tohoku Tag Team Title, defeating The Brahman Brothers in June 2016 for the UWA World Tag Team Title while they were already the Tohoku Tag Team Champions.

The Tohoku Tag Team Title is a prestigious title in its own individual right as well, with the distinction of having legends a part of its legacy such as The Great Sasuke, Jinsei Shinzaki, Último Dragón, Kensuke Sasaki, and Dick Togo.
