Start the new year with Ultimate Championship Wrestling, as they bring you, "Championship Meltdown" on January 8 in Bay City, Michigan! Ultimate Championship Wrestling is sanctioned by the AWA. The AWA was one of the Big Three in the Glory Day along with NWA/WCW and WWE. Now the AWA is ready to take back the OLD SCHOOL STYLE.
In a battle of the big men, The Barbarian will put the UCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line when he steps into the ring against former WLW Heavyweight Champion Rick Steiner! You've seen them wrestle each other on WCW-TV in tag-team action, but not one-on-one. On January 8, UCW will give it to you! Will the fact that this event will be taking place in Steiner's home state of Michigan give him the advantage that he needs to capture the title?
Before that match takes place, the UCW Tag Team Championship will be put on the line, when Mayhem defends the title against The Connecticut Experience, the winners of the Old School Cup Tourney. The Experience are the newest members of The Exchange, led by Dave Duponte. Will Duponte be a factor in the outcome of this match?
Bay City will also be the place to be for cruiser action, when Jaysen Yang puts the Cruiser Championship on the line against Tommy Titus, the current Wrestler Of the Month! Will new Crusier Champion be the next step for Titus? Yang will be sure to have his red mist ready.
A Hillbilly Showdown will take place, when The Kin face off against The 1/2 Ton Hillbillies. Big Chuck still searching for his girl Jessie, The Kin (Black Jack Haynes & Steven Kline) under orders of Uncle Cleatus (Jessie's uncle, who kidnapped her to keep her away from Chuck) tried to hang Kuzin Kurt in the ring. Now both families get into the ring to try to settle the issue!
Fans witnessed tears of a clown when The Milwaukee Mauler ended Doink The Clowns career. The Mauler has now turned his attention towards Justin Rhodes, and these two men will battle each other on January 8 in an Anything Goes, "Bounty" match! Chains, bull ropes, road signs, thumbtacks, trash cans--ANYTHING goes!
ALSO: The Bay City fans will surely be in support of their own Bull Wheeler, as he goes against The Swindler Dave Duponte on January 8...Pete Christie will face Ricco Rodriguez...In a battle of drunken rockstar against high-flying cruiser, Sebastian Rose will step into the ring with Sky Devian...Move over Dinsmore! January 8 will mark the return of the childrens' true favorite- Boomer! He made his debut coming from out of the crowd as a fan, and now Boomer is a member of the UCW roster. On the last show, his teddy bear made the pin. Boomer told UCW officials he will be bringing toys and stuffed animals for all his new friends on January 8!

General Admission ticket holders will access at 6:30pm, but VIP Ticket holders will have access at 5:45pm, when all wrestlers will be sitting at tables making pictures and autographs available.
