Join Ultimate Championship Wrestling on Saturday, May 14th in Bay City, Michigan! Ultimate Championship Wrestling is sanctioned by the AWA. The AWA was one of the Big Three in the Glory Day along with NWA/WCW and WWE. Now the AWA is ready to take back the OLD SCHOOL STYLE. UCW is leading the charge in accomplishing this goal, but there is one thing standing in its way: nWo Sting's Next Order faction.
When we last saw Rick Steiner, he was the recipient of a post-match beatdown courtesy of The Next Order in front of his hometown fans. Since that time, The Next Order has continued to dominate UCW, with nWo Sting still its Heavyweight Champion. The UCW office has deemed Rick Steiner the #1 contender to the championship, and on May 14th, he will receive the opportunity to bring it back home to UCW. For months, Steiner has been thinking about how he can get back at the The Next Order, and there would be no better way to do that than to defeat The Next Order leader nWo Sting and win the Heavyweight Championship in his own hometown. However, nWo Sting has successfully defended the championship against every wrestler that he has stepped in the ring with since he won it in January, and nWo Sting plans on doing the same when he meets Steiner one-on-one. WCW never gave you this match, but you'll be able to see it on May 14th in Bay City.
New International Champion Dave Duponte will make his first title defense on May 14th, when he faces Tommy Titus. While Titus was celebrating a victory in the ring recently, Dave Duponte and his Exchange faction sneak attacked Titus. Fans lobbied with the UCW office for Titus to receive a shot at Duponte and the International Championship. Listening to the requests of the UCW fans, the UCW office has signed a match between these two men, with the International Championship on the line. Titus will need to watch his back though, because Duponte's enforcer, Kuzin Kurt, will be in the building, ready to assist Duponte.
At the last UCW show, Sebastian Rose was the victim of a post-match attack by Sky Devian. Rose will have the opportunity to gain revenge when he steps into the ring with Devian on May 14th.
Kevin Matthews will make his UCW debut on May 14th. Matthews has worked for WWE in the past, and has now set his sights on UCW. No one knows what his goal is in UCW, but first he will have to get past Bull Wheeler. Bull Wheeler plans on giving Matthews a painful welcome to UCW. However, wrestlers don't come much more confident than Kevin Matthews, and he expects nothing less than victory in his UCW debut match.
The biggest hillbilly war since the Hatfields vs. McCoys will take place on May 14th when Kuzin Kurt and Big Chuck Wagon go head to head. Long time tag-team partners, Kuzin Kurt put an end to the team at the last UCW show, when he turned on Big Chuck during a match with The Connecticut Experience. It will be a true battle of the big boys, when 6'4, 400lb Big Chuck Wagon clashes with the 6'5", 485lb Kuzin Kurt.
UCW has the best womens wrestling division in the industry, and you will see an example why on May 14th in Bay City, as pro-wrestling's favorite female superhero, Super J, goes against Krissy Vaine, who will be making her UCW debut. While other promotions are increasingly dedicating less attention to womens wrestling, UCW is listening to fans and giving them exactly what they want.
Tag-team action will also be on the card, as former Tag Team Champions Mayhem take on The Connecticut Experience in a, #1 Contenders" match. Somehow, The Exchange leader Dave Duponte has made himself the referee for this match, and will no doubt attempt to help his faction members The Connecticut Experience defeat Mayhem. The winners of this match will face Tag Team Champions Viper and the Milwaukee Mauler later in the evening!
