WWE Legend John Cena Set to Star in New Netflix Comedy 'Little Brother'

17-time World Champion John Cena is once again proving that his presence extends far beyond the squared circle. Netflix has officially released the first trailer and details for its upcoming comedy film, Little Brother, which stars the WWE Legend alongside actor/comedian Eric André.

Scheduled to debut on Netflix on June 26, 2026, Little Brother will bring 1 hour and 38 minutes of chaotic energy to the streaming television service's summer movie lineup.

In Little Brother, John Cena plays Rudd, a famous, tightly wound real estate agent whose carefully curated, picture-perfect life gets an extreme makeover. The source of the madness is the sudden reappearance of his eccentric "little brother" Marcus, played by Eric André. With Michelle Monaghan starring alongside them as Rudd’s wife, the film puts the saying, "You can't say no to family", to the test.

Little Brother was directed by Matt Spicer, who also directed the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award-winning 2017 dark comedy Ingrid Goes West, and was written by Jarrad Paul & Andrew Mogel, the pair that wrote/directed 2015 film The D Train. Beyond John Cena, Eric André, and Michelle Monaghan, Little Brother features a cast that includes:

- Christopher Meloni (best known for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit)
- Ego Nwodim (best known for Saturday Night Live)
- Sherry Cola (Nobody Wants This)
- Caleb Hearon (The Devil Wears Prada 2)

The finale of John Cena's in-ring career took place in December 2025, but pro-wrestling fans continue to keep an eye on his Hollywood career. Just as fellow WWE Legends Dwayne Johnson and Dave Bautista have done, Cena has fully cemented himself as a success. And he especially stands out on the streaming platform route, with his action-comedy Freelance becoming a hit on Netflix, pulling in 4 million views (totaling 7.3 million hours viewed) in its first full week. Cena’s charisma and great promo skills destined him for Hollywood fortune.
